I received this banknote from a bundle of AOL $5 Banknotes. There were three of them in order with what appears to be ink from the coat of arms and the "5" on the front that are stamped over the metallic security strip. This is the worst one. Is this major enough to keep or should I toss them back into the system. What are your thoughts?

I just went through about 4 bricks of $5 and this is very very common on the bills I have seen. I can't see this being worth anything. If it is let me know I have thousands of them ;D

One thing I did find on only one note was that the 5 and the coat of arms was missing on one of the AOT notes. (I posted a pic earlier this week). The question I still have is the metallic strip separate from the ink on the coat of arms and the 5 or is this all one process?

I have seen this same thing, I don't think it is worth a premium. That's just my opinion though.

I figured that ::) but it never hurts to ask. Thanks for the feedback.

Just got several of the same thing here but with AON mon. Seems like a minor error, but I'll keep a few anyway. A wet coat-of-arms ink imprinting error alright, with the metallic strip we could expect odd problems like this.

How about if it's on a circulated 2 digit radar? ;D
