I'm thinking of writting an article for a CPMS newsletter but am stuck on what topic to choose. Does anyone have any ideas for good topics for an article? I'm a newbie (less than 3 years collecting) so it would have to be written from that perspective.

Hi Actuary6
Here is what I would suggest..
Diary of your 1st three years.
Include
- how you got started/why
- what friends/relatives think of your collecting
- mistakes and lessons you have learned.
- availability of collectable material and how you have learned to find it.
- toss in a bit of humor and even some embarrassment, if you have had any on how you got a certain note(s).
This kind of article will make us all think back to when we started collecting too.
Thanks,

A good topic would be " How to build a great collection on limited funds "

I like that idea rocken! I'll see where that takes me.
Simpson105378, I like your suggestion, too - I'll try to incorporate it without trying to sound too self-serving. I definitely should touch on why I got started.

Good luck, actuary6.
Both of those ideas seemed really good I think they would both make great articles!

Excellent ideas! I look forward to seeing them come in. When you're done, please email your article to newsletter@cpmsonline.ca.
Thanks!
