Title: Russian or World Radar Notes
Post by: Steve11 on August 16, 2004, 10:06:43 am
I am a collector of both; if you have any you want to sell or trade; please let me know. Thanks.

....right now I am really looking for 1938 5 Chev in EF/AU/UNC and some nice "Gold Standard" rubles from the 20's

world radars always welcomed.

I'm not a collector of world notes, but I found this in original UNC and made an exception. Its huge by Canadian standards ( 9 1/8" X 4 1/2" inches ) and I found the detail and portrait of Lenin too good to pass by. The scan is of a portion of the note only, (due to image size restrictions).  The note is not for sale or trade, but I would appreciate any info. on its history, series info., rarity etc. by any Russian note enthusiast. Thank you in advance for any input you care to offer.

Your note of course is the 100 Rouble 1947 State Bank Note issue...pic231/page 887 of the current Krause manual..current value in Unc is listed at $20.00 US..although these will normally go for much higher on ebay or at live auction. Nice..very nice note.
