Hi everyone, I went to pick up my brick, and it was a Multicolour Brick!!
Actually, it was a brick from 2004.
I found a radar, and a couple good inserts. A couple inserts were damaged due to strapping.
Point of this post:
$50s are a very low volume note, hard to get in large quantity. If anyone wants me to rescue UNC 65 $50s, please let me know. For a marginal fee. I feel justified in this for these reasons:
a) 1 hour drive from my house to bank to get brick.
b) 75 minute drive back, through heavy traffic
c) Cost of gas
d) cost of sanity
e) the beloved $11 brick fee.
I am essentially trying to recoup my costs. Otherwise, the research on the $50s will have to cease. Considering that there are only two known brick searchers of that denomination, I hope it does not come to that.
I was lucky, and found some replacements. GP has gone over 15 months without finding any. Imagine the costs incurred.
I think we are very lucky to have him working hard on this as he does.
Anyway, let me know if you want me to save you some as I get them.
PM for more info .
Have a great day everyone:
Hudson
PS: Raf, Phillipe_B, BWJM, CJ, Oli, ... heck- everyone, :-) The house will be ready for next CNA.

Why are they hard to get ???
-
I WISH I could get a nice consecutive pair, but, alas, I don't have any money right now. :'(
Why are they hard to get ???
Because people don't use them very often. Simple as that.

Regardless if they are not used as much, if you have the cash I could get you a brick of $50's next week. That can't make it that difficult

Considering it's $50,000 per brick that may hold some people back.

That's peanuts! I store all of my extra cash in $50s. I don't believe in bank accounts, RRSPs, mutual funds or stocks. I have a giant bank vault at a secure location in a nondescript building in some local industrial park and it is loaded up with my $50s. $20s get too bulky, and $100s aren't cool enough.

Unfortunately I surpass the age requirements, but my daughter will be there for the Thursday tour....How hard could it be to find the building, I will just use the GPS tracking system to locate your car, or better yet ..stake out your house Wednesday night and follow you... ;D

Aw nuts, I won't pass for under 40.

Well, if you look at my profile, do you really think I would have an extra $50 000? ;D

Why are they hard to get ???
People mainly use $20s and $100s.
Similar situation with the tens.
They print a heck of alot less. Look at the amount of prefixes too. lol
They are harder (by a longshot) to obtain by brick as well. Many factors.
And the artist of the pictured sculpture on the back, lives in Edmonton. (unrelated neat fact)

I do my bricks of $50s with only $5000.
The thing is, you can never leave the branch with them. Carry a stack of used $50s to fill in any new 50s you take out. Then do it one bundle at a time with your teller. Risky though if ppl behind you see, and then they mug you.

I love you guys made this post quite humorous.
Love this site. :-)
