It's a $4 note of the third and final issue of the Agricultural Bank, Toronto, dated 1 Oct. 1837. It is fairly common and has a current catalogue value of only $70 in Very Good condition. Your note, given its fragile condition, unfortunately has practically no value. The bank failed in 1837 so it is no longer redeemable. You might like to keep it as a curiosity or donate it to a young collector, but you can't really expect to get much out of selling it. Sorry about that!
There is some history of the bank and its notes in earlier numismatic literature if you want to follow it up.
