I'm looking for one of my Bank of Canada notes in Charlton... but it's not in there. That, or I'm blind, and need to check my prescription. It's a 1933 5 dollar banknote. It says dominion of Canada and Royal Bank of Canada on it. The book skips past the date and I can't find anything like it in there.

Now please, someone tell me if I'm using the book wrong, or it really just isn't in there. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spots... I don't know. A page number, or a firm, "It's not in the book moron!" would be really helpful!

Thanks

"It's not in the book moron!"

You must be looking in the book for  Canadian government paper money and this note would be in the chartered bank notes catalogue. I'm sure someone here will give you a value from that book.

Lol. Okay, thanks! Sorry about that... Just bought these books today and I'm just starting out. Please forgive my inexperience and lack of knowledge.

I appreciate the help and the correct use of my quote in response to my query! :)

On page 416 of the 6th edition of the Charlton I see small signatures @ VG 110 F 150 VF 250 AND LRG. SIGS @ VG 65 F 100 VF 175. The cat numbers are 18-02 and 18-02a. Looks like small signatures to me but then again I have a concussion  ???Hope this helps.
