So who over rules Gilles and "de-Confirms" replacement ranges?

I don't get Gilles' newsletter/price lists, but apparently, there was an explanation for what happened to the ELU range in one of them.

Maybe it had something to do with this...

According to Gilles List the ELU range hasn't been de-confirmed.

Congrats on finding 2 ELU replacement.

ELU 9,720 - 9,990 forgotten in the 23rd Edition

And it's been listed under his "Replacement Update" section ever since.
