These are some ones I am searching at present but short on info. so far.
1) Royal Bank 1933 $10.00 FP and BP only $5 showing in Charlton.
The only listing for these proofs (out of the 3 catalogs that I mentioned above) was lot 666 of Christie's 6/1991 auction. As you can see below this lot talks about 1932 proofs and not 1933 proofs even though there were no 1932 notes. The listing is also extremely vague with 178 items.
2) Banque Can Nat. 1929 $100 BP and FP
Lot 641 from the 1991 Christie's catalog was the only one I found for these proofs. Again extremely vague with 217 pieces.
3) Bank of Montreal 1914 $100.00 FP.
I could not find any in the 3 catalogues.
4) 1889 $10 Specimen 750-16-06S I believe this sheet of (2) was sold at Christie in the 1990 auction, just trying to find out how many others were sold at the time.
Lots 474 to 488 in Christie's 1990 catalog had many proofs and specimens for the Union Bank of Newfoundland. As you can see it is not easy to determine exactly how many specimens there were. Lot 671 in Christie's 1991 catalogue had a FP and BP.
Remember that Charlton generally does not list back proofs. The introduction says that back proof values are about 1/4 to 1/3 of the corresponding front proof, depending upon the vignettes on the back.
Terry Cox has one of the best listings of auction catalogues that have major collections of ABNC and BABNC proofs/specimens at:
