Hello,

I have in my possession a 1979 Canadian $5 bill (8/10 Condition), a 1973 Canadian $1 bill (8/10 Condition), and 3 $2 1986 bills, 2 of them are around a 9/10 condition, and a 7/10. Please help me figure out the prices, if I should keep them for longer, and where I should cash them in. I have heard people saying names such as  Lawson/Bouey but I am not sure how to find this on my bills.

Thanks a lot,
aznPIG

Hello
I have not looked in the catalog to confirm your notes, as these are certainly spenders.  The Lawson and Bouey may be the 2 signature at the notes bottom but there are other as well.  Hope that helps.  Murray

The names people are referring to are the signatures at the bottom of the note.

Your grading scheme while it may work for you, isn't exactly good for others to see. And your 9 might be another person's 2.. or vice versa (really depends if you're buying or selling  :-D)

Here's a link to some standard grading schemes used... http://www.pcgscurrency.com/g_scale.html

At best take some pictures or scans and we can better assess your notes.. however my best guess is that these notes are probably in the catagory of "spenders"
