A fabulous note indeed! I enjoyed the ESSEX connection of this story as I was born in Essex myself and I lived in Upminster for 24 years before I emigrated to Canada in 1968. The word CHUFFED is very seldom heard in Canada and it was nice to see it used in a most appropriate context!

Good morning......

An interesting development came up with this note... my dad had a conversation with an expert in canada...he told us, as far as he can tell from checking the records, our note is probably the only known example of this particular version.....
