What am I missing here ....I had a $185+ amount on my palpal account in us funds and just withdrew it to my Canadian bank account...and have always been able to do this....

I always sell Canadian notes in Canadian dollars, so don't have this problem.  :-\

As far as I know, that's certainly a normal thing.  But you end up paying PayPal's inflated exchange rates.

I've got a USD account at a Canadian bank but I haven't tried hooking it up to PayPal yet.  I wonder if that would work?
