A Lawson-Bouey Devil's Face note of any denomination would be impossible. At the time of the Lawson-Bouey signatures, the signatures were part of the intaglio printing so the portrait and signatures would have been engraved into the same plate.
I did see the following note on eBay several years ago with Beattie-Rasminsky signatures. Can't say for sure if it's a Photoshop job or not, but this would be possible since the signatures here were added separately after the intaglio printing was applied.
Is it known whether there are any "good-overs" known for the $1000 denomination?
This note would have had to sit around, unfinished until 1961-1968. (1961 for the Beattie-Rasminsky signature combo, and 1968 when they began engraving signatures on the plates.)
The number is also low...What is the range of numbers for Beattie-Rasminsky notes?
Could this be a really good photoshop job?
Thanks,
Dean
