New Zealand Reserve Bank (RBNZ) has just unveiled a new series of polymer notes, to be released in 2015-2016. Preliminary designs of the notes are shown on this site:
brightermoney.co.nz. The notes have been designed by Canadian Bank Note and will be printed by the same company. The first notes to be issued will be $5 and $10 in October 2015, followed by $20, $50 and $100 in April 2016.
The main security feature will be the same as on the Canadian polymer notes: Latitude holograms in a large clear window. The notes will also have what appears to be golden Spark patches, in the shape of birds. These are very beautiful notes, and I really like the designs. Of course, there is always the possibility that the actual notes will not be as vibrant, similarly to what happened with the Canadian notes.
