The language order of all of the text on Bank of Canada notes is supposed to alternate between English first and French first on each denomination. One example is CINQ FIVE on the $5, TEN DIX on the $10, VINGT TWENTY on the $20, and so on. I think they messed up with the quotation on the back of the $100 note of the new series though. On the $5 the quotation is in French first, on the $10 it is in English first, French first on the $20, and English first on the $50.
Therefore, the quotation from Miriam Waddington on the back of the $100 should have been in French first, but it is in English first.
