Best Magnifier to Use When Grading Banknotes.

Just wondering if there is a preferred strength of magnifier to use when grading banknotes. I use a 7x loupe. Certainly see a lot of imperfections especially around the corners. Should I be using a 3x or a 4x instead? Once you become aware of a demerit, loupe or no loupe, its still there.

I actually bought one of these recently and it's been very handy and invaluable. Quick interchangeable lenses and nice bright LEDs. Not particularly powerful magnification but two eyes are better than one (through a loupe) right?

Yes I agree and thanks for you input Wizard1. My eyesight is not as sharp as when I was younger, so I can use all the help I can get.

This brings to mind though, whether the grading of notes should be standardized under a particular magnification, say 3x or 4x as opposed to relying on the variability of the unaided eye. Magnification may reveal otherwise unnoticed imperfections especially in the higher graded notes.
