Good post Seth - this is funny!

Looking at the front of the coin (token?) in the police photo, I see it uses a Z instead of a 2.  So does this make it a "Zoonie"?

Here is a fun fact: when the Bank of Canada was creating the Bird Series of bank notes; it actually began as a Canadian wildlife series with moose etc.  An early essay for the $2 bank note featured a Walrus!

Was this Zoonie design intentional or a coincidence?

Plus the "S" in "DOLLARS" is actually a "D".  Elizabeth II's name is changed to Elizabeth I-I, and the portrait looks more like a male.

Hopefully whoever is responsible for these phony toonies gets a well-deserved prison sentence, though if he gets sentenced, he might seek bail - because nobody wants to be in jail for a long time.

I was in Ottawa in July for this year's RCNA and saw the essay again on display at the Bank of Canada's currency museum.

Eventually the Bank switched to the bird series.  I'm kind of glad they went with a robin!
