$2 bill question please...

Hi there, I just signed up to ask a question in the forum. I am moving and going through some boxes in storage and found this $2 Canadian bill with the EGU prefix and I was just wondering if it's worth anything today ? I have absolutely no experience at all regarding this and found this forum through a Google search. I attached two photos of the bill and if it's not worth anything, then I can put it back in storage for a conversation piece. :-) I greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you.

The $2 banknote with the prefix EGU was the last prefix printed by the Canadian Banknote Company as the $2 banknote was replaced with the Twoonie in 1996.  You have a conversation piece due to the serial number as the last banknote printed had the serial number EGU 8159999 where your banknote is EGU 3002508 which makes it just outside of the last 5,000,000 being printed.

Unfortunately, your banknote has seen some wear and tear and the current value based on the condition is less than $3 but you can claim that your banknote is near the end of the run for Bank of Canada $2 banknotes which started in 1935.

Keep it as a memory and potential conversation piece.
