Hi All:

FYI: I got an uncirculated $10 out of an HSBC bank machine and when I turned it over to see what the serial number was I noticed that the right serial number is higher than the left. Not by a drastic amount, but enough to be noticeable.

Maybe there are some 'drastic' serial number shifts out there.

The attached file gives you an idea of the shift.

Sorry...But this degree of misaligment is not sufficient to have any value nor interest :-/ .  It's the normal variation found on a large number of notes.
It's only when the numbers are higher or lower than the bar code (if correctly placed), or have a large lateral displacement that the note begin to be interesting or valuable.

I agree. These types of serial number errors occur all the time. They will not get any premium.

Now that is more rare, the serial number is almost touching the black bar. This type of note can fatch some premium :D
