I'm having that problem too.  If anyone needs to get ahold of me, please send directly to hab692@mail.usask.ca

It was not like this until just a few days ago. (??)

I have no idea how this is happening. Can you desribe what you are doing to get this error?

1) click on the "you have X messages" line at the top to get you into PM
2) click on the "subject" of the message or on the envelope icon in the right side under "status"
3) click on the "reply" button (between "quote" and "delete") in the lower right corner.

Should work. I see no reason for you to be linking to message #3.

Are you doing anything different then I've outlined above?

Steps 1 2 and 3 work, but after you click "send message" this is what comes up on mine too.
"104 An Error Has Occurred!: Unable to open 2.txt "

Paul I do appreciate your time with this.
Best Regards,

Ok, I played with Marv's account and this is what I found.

1) his entire account ran very slowly
2) his PM has quiet a few messages in it. I had not realized how much people use this funtion
3) he had never "cleared" message. From the main page, down at the bottom, is "Mark all messages as read". I did this for him
4) The entire board started to display much faster immediately
5) I had not problem sending and replying to PMs

Try this, and if it doesn't make a difference, I'll arrange to "take over" your account and see what I can see.  :D

I've just tried to send Marv a PM and I'm still getting the same message.

gus5pin,

I logged into your account and sent and replied to PM's without problem. I would suggest that you log out and the log back in. This clears up the cache and if you haven't done so since the upgrade, that's a issue.

Also, you password was very weak. I have generated an new automatic password for you. You will receive notification via email. The new system was also flagging your password, it's possible that that was causing the problem too.

I've added to you my Yahoo IM. If you have further issues, contact me there.

The whole system has not functioned for about 2 days, at least since Sat or Sun Nov 19/20

All I got was a 404 error, not allowed to do something with this site.
I contacted Paul in North Bay, to see if he has been able to get on the site, his reply was to the negative.

Hudson was also getting a similar permission denied error in the wee hours of this morning. I was able to login no problem at the time, and despite my best efforts, i could not find anything to explain what Hudson was seeing. Judging from his post today though, it seems to be resolved.

Sorry everyone. I believe (ok, really, really hope), the problem is fixed.

It was just one bad line of code in the 2.1 software. I believe I've fixed it as of now ([timestamp=1132697517]). Please let me know if you're still having problems.

Rick, a 404 error is something different. Normally cause when you can't get a connection to the site. I'll have to look for that more. None of my diagnostics will see it thought, as it meets you're not making it to my site.

Everything seems to be working fine at this end now.

Paul, a big thank you for all your time and work on this.

These are the times we should be helping more. Check your paypal by the weekend for an extra donation.
