One of my colleages withdrew three twenties from a bank machine in Newmarket ON and one of them was a fake. The colours of the note at a glance looked really good, but as you looked closer the hologram strip didn't change colour and looked rough. Also the water mark of the Queen didn't appear at all. The bill itself was slightly smaller than a real one and the paper felt more like bond copy paper. The serial number that was displayed was definately not being used on any of the journey twenties that I know of. The serial No. on the bill is FFS5472546.

Do you know what happened to it?

I collect banknotes depicting Tallships. And to a lesser degree, all watercrafts.

This person still has the fake 20. She is going to take it back to the bank where she got the bill tommorrow.

Don't be surprised if the bank doesn't take it back.
