I would like to congratulate “eyevet” Mike on completing a significant section of his collection.  I will let Mike toot his own horn here and explain it if he wants.  All I know is that it is a very significant collection and would be nearly impossible for anyone else to complete.

I don't want to steal Mike's thunder either, but I too offer my congratulations. Nice find there, Mike!!! I bet it feels great to finally fill that elusive hole! :D

Thanks guys, I wouldn't have been able to do it without my buddies on this forum keeping their eyes open and their ears to the ground, giving me a bit of forewarning that this note was going to show up at Torex.   My new acquisition is a mid grade *C/I note (*C/I 9517999) completing my '54 asterisk set.

The very fact that he has all the tough modified replacements including *C/I, *V/V and *Z/Z is astonishing, considering that there are only 3 known *C/I notes in existence.

The kind of Thunder that is so righteously deserved.  :o
I can only hope one day it will be on display where all collectors would have the opportunity for a viewing. (Although due to security issues I won't be holding my breathe.)
Again congratulations.
