Found this slice of the colour bar in a fresh brick of HOE fives today. When I first noticed the corner of it I thought I had a nice cutting error. No such luck just a errant slice. Interesting conversation piece though.

If you get any decent notes from that brick, save a few for me please. I still need some HOE.

Brick = 1,000 notes.
Bundle = 100 notes.

Thank you for the "correct" information Brent :). I was under the impression that there were 10,000 in a brick......however, at 1000 I think that I am going to search a few and keep my fingers crossed that I find an insert or even an Error 8-).

I'm here to help. :)

There's $10,000 in a brick of $10 notes. ;)

Yea, and HOURS of mind boggling searching....  :o

After going through 3 Full Bricks of $5 in 2 Days I get kinda jumpy around the $5's now. My Good Friend Alcohol helped me look through all the bills.

Not Bad... 3 Radars, couple small smeers and a complete bundle of slightly offset prints (Minor but Noticeable at first glance). All the bills are Shifted slightly up, the white 5 on the back is slightly below the edge of the bill. I am selling the entire brick (To help fund further Brick Searches).

Anyone find a few Bills are are about 400 - 500 out of sequence? They seem to be numbers like (Prefix****499) & (Prefix****9999) and stuff like that. Few are int he middle but majority end in 99.

Just Wonderin, havn't talked to any other Brick Searchers before.

HOG generally was found to be in consecutive bricks numberred from 000 to 999 with plastic bands and unbundled. Sounds like your bricks had been previously recounted into bundles by the bank branch before you got them. What colour were the bands and were they stamped?

The error that you mention is not a printing error. The notes were CUT out of register which is very common.

Ok, Thank you!

I got a total of 3 Bricks. Yes the bank "HAS" to re-count the bills to make sure I am not getting short changed. WHat is in YOUR experience? These ones were Elastic bands in bundles then large elastic around each 1000.

How do your Bricks come? Does the bank count yours? How do you get them? I would think they should just hand over a single sealed  Bundle of 1000 bills from the BoC. I am just wondering how everyone else does/gets theirs so I am not getting out of the loop.

I just want to make sure no one is getting a chance to "Scan" through my bills and get any goodies. Their Auto bill counter will reject print error notes most likely, Can Anyone verify this?

Sorry about all the questions... I am still very new at brick searching.
Cheers!

We have made specific arrangements to NOT have the bricks re-counted and bundled as this messes up the info and in many cases ruins the notes. Just tell the bank that you are not worried about being short notes and they will probably leave the brick intact for you.

The branch bill counters do not reject errors and most are not set up to reject counterfeits.

What I often do is just ask them not to count the new notes, "because it damages them".  They look at me weird for a second ;), but then simply pass them over, no problemo.
