Sounds like a dream job below... however some of my colleagues tell me that to apply for this position, the Bank of Canada isn't thrilled to higher paper money collectors... so for those who are interested this may be a dream job... but don't state that you are an an avid collector of Canadian paper money.
Also, the compensation seem high... but in Vancouver, BC, it's equivalent to earning $40k in Ontario. Everything in Vancouver is expensive.

Job Summary
As the Senior Regional Representative (Department of Banking Operations/Currency) for British Columbia and Yukon, you are based in Vancouver and are responsible for representing the Bank of Canada and for promoting its initiatives in British Columbia and Yukon. As the eyes, ears, and voice of the Bank in the region, you are responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders.
You are a member of the Bank’s Regional Team, which has more than 20 professional and support staff in five locations across Canada.* Under the supervision of the Assistant Director responsible for the regional offices (based in Ottawa), you work with other senior regional representatives to set the team’s direction and business priorities. You also support the management of the Department of Banking Operations (DBO), of which the Regional Team is a part.
In the Vancouver office, you work alongside your counterpart in the Research Department to facilitate the delivery of Bank products and services, gather information at a strategic level, and speak on behalf of the Bank as a front-line contact and media spokesperson.
Currency is the main focus of DBO’s regional representatives. You support the Bank’s bank note communication and compliance objectives and monitor and analyze regional developments in areas such as counterfeiting and bank note use. You work closely with other teams in Ottawa to plan and deliver communication programs aimed at educating target audiences, such as cash handlers, about bank note authentication. You also work closely with regional law enforcement agencies and crown prosecutors, financial institutions, retail organizations, and the hospitality and gaming industries. You support the Bank's regional outreach program and foster ties with industry, government, and educational institutions.
The Bank Note Distribution System (BNDS) is overseen and supported by DBO’s senior regional representatives across Canada. As the representative for British Columbia and Yukon, you chair two regional committees, ensure compliance to BNDS policies at the Regional Distribution Centres, and contribute to National BNDS Working Group activities. You also maintain business relations between the Bank and representatives of participating institutions, armoured car companies, and third-party service providers.
Finally, you manage a regional office budget and staff comprising one senior analyst, one analyst, and one administrative assistant. Managing the performance and development of these individuals, including coaching, is an important aspect of the management role.
* Members of the Regional Team are based in the Bank's regional offices in Halifax, Montréal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. The Bank’s Research Department also has regional teams in these locations.
