A 1917 $5 note from The Home Bank of Canada that is a "good-over" has been discovered in the US.
This note has the typed signatures of S. Young (left) and J. Cooper-Mason (right). These mechanically countersigned signatures first appeared on the 1920 notes.
The note has the serial number 211300/A and falls within the known range (207501 to 217000) of notes dated 1917 that were good-overs and supplied to the bank as part of their 1920 order.
As far as I know this is the first time that a 1917 $5 good-over has appeared and should be added to the Register of Surviving Notes of The Home Bank of Canada.
