Yeah, I'm watching that item too...I think $300.00 is about the limit of its worth so thanks for the info about your bid; I won't bother bidding.

Using Charlton's terminology, I believe this would be a "multiple fold, large part attached" error, making it worth $300.  Then again if this is a "cut out of register note, 25% or more" error, it's only worth $150.  So I'm not sure which category this "butterfly" note falls into, but since you can't see the colour bar on this note I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it.  Then again the seller is on the Pricing Panel for Charlton's Catalogue so he may know something that we don't?

Does anyone else find the difference between a "multiple fold" error and "cut out of register" error fuzzy?  Can someone explain the difference, because based on the pictures in Charlton's I can't tell...

I think that what Charlton refers to as single and multiple folds errors are errors that occured before the note was fully printed, so that part of the note is printed on the wrong side, or left unprinted. The cutting out of register could be resulting from a fold after the printing, so only the size/shape/position of the note is affected. So this note would be "cut out of register" i think. This section of the catalogue definately needs some clarification though! The prices don't differentiate between a note that was simply shifted and one with a folding issue either, which really aught to be a whole seperate category...

Ya I am with you Venga I dont really get what they are talking about it the book seeing page 381 ya i see the difference from 383 but then where dose page 382 fit in ??? I might see it as E24-ii mulitple fold large part attched 325$ I dont get it... I do that Don (the seller) is on the pricing panel and i do find he normal charges whats right for must of his notes so... And I have seen this kind of error sell for 250$ on a $20 (AU) and thats why I had bid to 300$ cause I really really like error notes that one is a really nice one but I have to draw the line somewhere  ;)
