Hi, Looking to figure out how to determine what ATM roller marks are.
I don't see much enw money out of ATMs, so I am not too familiar with it.  From last year when I showed someone the $10s I had, they were convinced that the "cutting cup" was a counting machine flick, or a handling mark.  (This was a dealer).  Roller marks may too be unclear. And if they aren't, they are unclear to me  :-?.
What do they look like, and are they mistaken for banding imprints ever? or anything else?

Curious,
H

the atm's using large dark rubber bands (like in your car) to take the $$$ from the cassette to the dispenser. generaly on most atm models there are two bands. they "grab" the bills and they are pushed ahead by them..... same as the CDU dispensers in the branches......they are pretty cool...except when they break down....
