Has anyone else noticed the new 5s being printed with the last digit a little darker.  I assume it's common but not sure why.  I picked up a small stack of AOJ recently and many of the last digits (left side serial number only) looked thicker (darker).

Thanks
Craig

I've noticed this with many new bills. I'm sure it's very common.

Yep, me too. The $5 AOL notes I just got seemed to almost ink right through the note too.

I also saw this when I had about 20 new 5s on me. They were all like that. I thought I had something, but am not that lucky to get something good.

It seems only on the left set of serial numbers on mine. Some also appear to have a slight downward-off-register of that last digit.

I have seen it on a BKK $100 where the last digit was like double printed. Its nothing unusual, its just a surplus of ink that got released during printing. This is common. Shouldn't be worth anything.

Agreed  :)

It is Interesting but does not add to any additional premium.  ::)

I have also notice some slight varitations of the placement of the last digit on the left serial on the new $5 Notes. It seems to bounce around a little during printing. It might be a slightly loose number????

Every new note I've seen so far has a slightly darker last left digit on the SN (of the new fives).
