1954  $2.00 note--non test note

Hi.  Can anybody enlighten me about the 1954 issue two dollar, modified note, G/R non test notes?
In the latest issue of the CPMS newsletter, the comments was made about 7 more notes G/R were found and sold.
What is special about that issue. thanks. TOM ::) ::)
