Currently there are three auctions selling high grade photocopies of various Canadian Specimen notes. At this time the bidders name is Private. The serial numbers and denominations are:

1954 1000  AK0000000
1954  100 AJ0000000
1954 50 AH0000000
1979 20 Cannot see back of note
1975 50 HA0000000
1954 5 AC0000000
1972 5 CA0000000

While I've not been collecting long, I've never seem this before. Is this common? Should we not maybe document this somewhere, as a high end photocopy would fool many new collectors if someone was dishonest enough to do such a thing. At first I was going to bid, then I read the fine print so to speak.

Agreed,

I noticed this too.

Wouldn't it be illegal even? Or is it legal because they are specimens (Not legal Tender)?

This seller is from the Croatia as well.

I heard a rumor that many of the Specimen Counterfeits come from Croatia and Romania. Just a thought....  :-/
