question on correct note identification (catalogue id)

If the note is a BC-63a and a rotator is it catalogued as BC-63a-N9
and if it is a radar (1 digit solid) is it catalogued as BC-63a-N1-i

I would suggest that solid notes take precedence over being a rotator, therefore FDT8888888 would be BC-63a-N1-i.

There are no clear guidelines, and technically both classifications would be correct, but if you had to classify it specifically as one and NOT the other, wouldn't everyone here prefer that it be a solid?

Something else to consider is that almost all specimen notes could be tagged as (for example) BC-63aS-N9 or as BC-63aS-N1-i. But really... what's the point of calling it a rotator, or a solid? Most accurately, it is a specimen note and should be classified as that, not as a "specimen radar rotator solid" note.

We can make up names until we're blue in the face, but when it comes right down to it, FDT0000000 is a specimen note, FDT8888888 is a solid, FDT8088808 is a 2-digit radar, FDT6090609 is a repeater/rotator (I'd deliberately choose both here), FDT 6980869 is a rotator and FDT8896988 is a radar.
