I have a 1954 two dollar Beattie / Rasminsky with an XU prefix, I`m in the paper money trade and have never seen one of these, nor can I find it in the Charlton catalogue 2008,
Does any one have any thoughts or insight on this?

X/U was a fully-issued prefix. Nothing rare about it, at least not compared to most other prefixes.
