BABN $5s near solved

These ones are fairly easy, but with this basis, we can figure out the higher denoms much more easy!


$5s:

Based on my findings of AOP above, I Propose that they are using the FP/BPs that are regular for BABN, but the AOP's were printed 40/on, and 5 position numbers were simply removed.  That is, the sheet was 5x8, or possibly 4x10. Not sure at this point.
Secondly, the 40000 difference between matching position numbers indicates skip numbering by 1000 for this particular area of $5s.

Therfore, if 0000000 = A1
Then:
0040000
0080000
0120000...
1200000 all = A1 as well.
Then 1228xxx is placed at the 29th position.

See: (Assuming 5x8)
1200000 = A1,
1205000 = B1
1210000 = C1
1215000 = D1
1220000 = E1
1225000 = F1 , 1226000, 1227000, 1228000 = F4.  Placing AOP 1228xxx in F4.  Therefore F4 = 87/92

So it must follow that
AOP 1268xxx 87/92 must be 40000 more than 1228 (which it is)- checks out okay at F4.
As well--
AOP 1348xxx 87/92 must be a multiple of 40000 away - which it is (80,000). Check out okay at F4.
Propose that
AOP 1349xxx 86/97 must be at F5.  (check below)

From this, I hypothesize that BABN upgraded $5s are 40/on, NOT 45/on.  Second, the skip numbering for these ones is 1000.   The conclusion of this that probably is the only thing people care about is the insert ranges, which then should be in groups of 40000 as well. (Just like CBN were skip by 500, and full range of 20000).
The probalem with BABN inserts though, is that they are so dang hard to find.  Like always, the UNC population will be minimal.

Continuing on with the notes AOP $5s....

1200000 = A1,
1205000 = B1
1210000 = C1
1215000 = D1
1220000 = E1
1225000 = F1 ==> 1265 ==> 1305 ==> 1345 = F1, 1346 = F2, 1347 = F3, 1348 = F4,  1349 = F5.
AOP 1349xxx checks out at position F5.  F5 = 86/97
1230000 = G1 ==> 1270000 = G1, 1271000, 1272000, 1273000, 1274000 = G5. Therefore
AOP 1274xxx 80/59 is position G5.

Now, 1386 and 1387 and 40000 more than 1346 and 1347.
If we know that 1348 is F4 and 1349 is F5, then we can draw the logical conclusion that 1347=1387 and 1346=1386 (Math: modulo 40,000).
Since 1348 = F4, then 1388 = F4.  
Since 1388 = F4, then 1387xxx 64/64 = F3, 1386xxx 77/77 = F2.

Moving to AOP 1424xxx 92/87
1424xxx - 80000 = 1344xxx.
Since 1386 = F2, then 1346 = F2.  From this, then 1345 = F1, 1344 = E5.
Therfore, AOP 1424xxx 92/87 = E5.

Now moving to AOP 1456xxx 76/55
1215000 = D1 ==> 1295000, 1335000, 1345, 1375, 1415, 1455xxx = D1, 1456xxx = D2.
Therfore, AOP 1456xxx 76/55 = D2

Conclusion:
Known positions are F2-F5, G5, D2, E5. I will incorporate other peoples AOP findings as they come along. Please make sure to report FP/BPs when you report.

I have a BKK 8506xxx 77/77.  It should be in F2, based on the info arrived at from the $5s.  IS IT IN F2?

8505000 = F1, 8506xxx = F2.  This is a confirming match.  

One is not good enough, in this thread I will compare every single BABN $100 I have. It will be a long testing post.

BKK 8400001 55/76.  According to the logic tables, this should be A1.  IS IT?

8400000 = A1.  Yes this also confirms that BABN $100s follow the same mapping as $5s.

Okay, today I found AOK insert 2855813 in AOL 4730xxx
Here is the problem:
AOK 2855813 70/70 places it at D1  - the AOK notes are the anomaly itappears.
AOL 4730xxx 70/70 places it at C1- just like the others.

This is a discrepency, which leads me to believe that they may have fooled around with the skip numbering for the AOK.  The GCD of 40 and 45 is 1800, so they would have had to run 1800 x 45* 1000 bricks before it would match up again.  45000 * 1800 = 81 MILLION notes.  So inserting a 45 on sheet for this seems unlikely. I would suggest skip numbering change of some sort, OR, perhaps they ommitted a section of nubers (this does happen every once in a while apparantly).

For now, C1 and D1 there is a strange thing going on.  Not sure.
THis AOK thing may also lead me to saythat the D3 position may be incorrect. Will have to see.

Some point in between AOL 6658xxx  (6680000) and 9698xxx (9680000-9720000) there was some sort of odd change. No explaination at this time.  IT COULD BE that they replaced the position panel, and used it such as a rotating variable (yikes that could get ugly). I hope not.

AOM 8273 91/82 = G4 Validates!! Also helps validate the $100s.

I have to remember what the whole point of this was to begin with...  finding out the position layout- not to figure out every skip number variant. So I wiill focus on the task at hand.
