Hello All, I need some help with the price for this note.

1939 Imperial Bank of Canada #000653 condition is F-VF.

I don't have a current cataloge for the value, I feel the lower # would command a premium since this is the main reason I purchased it, although I do not generally collect Chartered notes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Dave.

In my opinion, the serial number is not low enough to attract a significant premium. Under 100 would make it more desirable while under 10 is what most low serial number collectors are seeking. Still a decent note though.

Thanks for the useful input, I hadn't considered the fact of only 6 digits.
Does anyone know what the current book value is for this note? My guess would be $50'ish am I close?

55 in VG, 90 in Fine. If I was selling it I'd put it up on ebay and advertise the LSN. You might be surprised at what ot brings.

A fellow forum member has already purchased this note from me. Price was fair and I was happy to keep it in the "family".
