I found two consecutive notes in a brick that had what looks like an ink smudge on the back and front of the adjoining notes. This one is the more dominant one and the front is definitely more apparent than what appears on the back.
I have seen a variety of ink filled serial numbers, scattered dots on the backs, but not to this extent. Any opinions?

Nice one! I haven't found any ink smear notes yet on the new fives, but I do have the following in other notes. I have previously posted these notes, but I think the photos have been pulled, so here they are again.

Interesting notes. Does the error appear on the backs as well, or just the fronts?

No, the error only appears on the front.

Would those be worth more cause of the ink smudge????

I would say no for the $10 note, but yes for the $20 because it is so dramatic. But it really depends on how much an error collector is willing to pay for it.
