I'm sure that I am not the only one on this forum that believes this, so why not share your personal opinions on this topic. I realize that this is; in the majority of cases only going to be speculation, however if you collect for financial gain only, then this is what you would base your inventory, purchases, and sales on.... speculation. Obviously if you find a large quantity of inserts and feel that they will be found by many others it may be wise to dump them at a reduced rate... On the other hand, should you find that odd insert that no one else seems to find, do you put it aside in hopes that there are far and few between finds.
I still believe that some people do not share their finds for these reasons specifically.   How many times do forum members ask about a certain note and not until then does someone post a response. ( If at all)  Obviously there was information out there, but not shared with other forum members.
Once again, this thread is not being started to create a problem, but to see if others feel the same way so that maybe the situation can be clarified.
Do people not share information because they can't be bothered, because they think it is not important enough to be shared, or are there other reasons..... ???

Knowledge is not a collectable. Some share there infomation and some don`t that is the reason why people join clubs, in hopes that there are other collector willing to share with there good fortune.

but seriously some notes are harder to find then others not in my opinion becuase they are hoarded, but the collectors that have these notes know what they have. The knowledge of what really is rare dispite what the price guide may indicate is what you get from years of collecting

Nicely said rachelsprivates

I believe as our hobby heads towards investment oriented this lack of sharing information will occur much more frequently on rare notes.
