The New $100 Note

The next addition to Canada’s new bank note series is currently on display at the Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada.

The redesigned $100 note includes state-of-the-art anti-counterfeiting features that will further enhance the security of Canada's currency. The new features include a metallic holographic stripe, a watermarked portrait, a windowed colour-shifting thread and a see-through number. These new security features are reliable and easy to use. All you have to do is touch, tilt, look at and through the new note. It also incorporates familiar security features, such as raised ink (intaglio), fine-line printing and improved fluorescence under ultraviolet lighting.
