Could someone give me some advice about selling Bank of Canada notes in the city of Ottawa?  I have some 1954 devil's head in $1.00s, $2.00s, $5.00s, $10.00s and $20.00s.  They all seem to be in nice condition to me but I really don't know what an expert opinion would be.  Does anybody know of a reliable and fair dealer in Ottawa?  I have the new Charlton book and have recorded all the various values and there doesn't seem to be any special notes among them.  Do dealers have a specific percentage that they charge on notes?  Do they give you close to book value?  Hope someone can help me out.

Thanks, Jeanne

From your comments it is safe to assume you are not a collector. How did you acquire a new copy of the Charlton? I am still waiting,as are many a seasoned collector. We all need the help! :)

I purchased the Charlton book shortly after it came out in July.  I bought it at Chapters.

If you can provide scans of your notes I would be interested in making you an offer.

Cheers

Jason, thank you for your offer.  I am now in the process of scanning the notes and hope to find out how the system works on the forum.

Thanks, Jeanne
