Hi,

I received a 10 cent note from 1987 with serial number bx7447650.  Is it a replacement note?

Thanks,
Dean

No, BX is a regular prefix for the 10 Cents of that issue. There was also a BW prefix for the 10 Cents. Replacement notes of that issue would have an Asterisk.

" Buy the very best notes that you can afford and keep them for at least 10 years. " (Richard D. Lockwood, private communication, 1978).
