I have five banknotes serial numbers listed below and was inquiring if these would be considered an error notes, the front image can be clearly seen bleeding through to the back. They appear to have been removed from circulation with very little wear and only the light remnants of a center fold no creasing, however with what looks like improper storage there are some other minor issues that would leave three or four at EF and one or two AU. I would be interested in finding out a value and if it would be better to sell them as Consecutive notes or one at a time.

                 ( 1 ) Three  1973    $1.00    Signed Crow-Bouey     Serial #  BCZ7860615-616-617.

                 ( 2 ) Two     1973    $1.00    Signed Crow-Bouey     Serial # BFC4829830-831.

Cheers Bill

Hi Bill
Yes they are errors.  In perfect UNC condition they would be worth around $75.00 each.  With yours in varying condition its tough to say, plus they are not very dramatic errors so someone who collects errors would have to help you determine value.  My guess would be $20.00 each.  Hope this helps, Murray

  • Errors are the best as there are only 1 of a kind

Hi Bill, I am an avid Error collector and what you have is 0 to 25% offset printing error notes. Unfortunately they are fairly common, whereas the 75 to 100% offset error's command the most, 400.00+ :o, as they are so much more dramatic. In my opinion you would be better of selling them individually rather than as a consecutive group. If you are interested in selling them I would be willing to buy 1 or all, depending on how much you are looking for them ???.  Regards, Rob.

Hi Again!
Many thanks to Rob and Murray, there assistance is much appreciated. I,m just now going through some of my access banknotes and I'll probable place a list on the trading post in the near future. I'll also include a list of notes I desire and possibly a trade of some nature can be arranged, if not a straight purchase is fine.

           Thanks again and Cheers Bill
