I understand that most of the new $20's have been distributed mainly in Ontario, Alberta, and maybe BC.

We here in NL don't seem to be alone - I betcha the rest of Atlantic Canada do not have them yet.

The question of the hour is....

Who, on the forum, does NOT have the new $20 as yet? ???

Later, Jonathan

P.S. - I will be calling the main branches in St. John's first thing Friday morning. :)

The banks in Dorchester Ontario don't have them.
I've tried a bank in London today with no success. Of course they may be in London, just not the bank I tried.

Sid,
I am also from London and I have yet to see one...I've checked with a couple local branches and they have yet to have any either.

They have been widely available here in Quebec too and they aren't hard to get at all!

I was able to get 300 new $20's from the Scotia Bank in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday. Mostly consecutive EYG.
Nothing really of interest & no radars.
I have a call in with a couple other banks, they said they would give me a call as soon as they get some in. The Scotia bank said they would hold more for me if I want, so will be getting more today (Friday).  ;)

I got several AYT notes from a bank in Waterloo this afternoon.  I've already spent several on food and gas tonight.  At least two will be entering private collections and the rest will be spent.

As mentioned by someone else, these UNC notes have drastic waves in them, likely due to the holographic strip.  I am considering this "normal" and not detrimental to an UNC note.  A note without this characteristic wave I would consider pressed to some degree.

I haven't seen any yet.  Went to 5 banks and was at several stores.  Not a one.

Only 4 1/2 hours north of Edmonton in a city with a workforce of 65000 and still no new $20.00 notes yet. Have pulled 3000 in twenties from accounts over the two days trying to find new stock in an ATM. Source from company stocking ATM's would not confirm arrival. So I'm still waiting.

I don't have one, but I will eventually.  For now I have copious amounts of the old twenties, so I'm happy.  :o

;D

Oh look, there's like ten million of them on ebay right now.

Dont forget, the 2004 20's have only been out 4 days. We still have billions of the old bird 20's to get through yet. In 1996 (when the birds 20 had been out 3 years) i was still getting the 1979 20 every so often coming out of the ATM machine. Even today i still get the occasional 1979 20 come out. Yes the new 2004 are out in montreal but ive only seen the EYG's so far.

I tell you, some Canadians may never see the new $20 until close to the occasion when the new $50 is unveiled.   ;D

Bye 4 Now, Jonathan
