I was looking through some of my Great Grandma's belongings and came across this 25 cent note.
Its dated January 2nd, 1900.  I was pretty excited to find some neat stuff, along with this note was the card that it was sent to her in.  I assume this came from her brother that was killed in WW1,  his personal belongs that were sent back to the family after his death was also with this.  I'm sure you didnt want to read all that....sorry, just found this so interesting.

Was just wanting some info on this and see if its worth anything,  thanks in advance for the help!

This is called a shinplaster and would be worth about $15.

It is said that soldiers used to put these in their boots, I think that's what I had heard and I'm sure someone here knows more on this subject than me.

This is a nice keepsake or conversation piece.

Hope this helps.

Have a look here. You'll see all three versions.
