My Mother in law just found a stash of 1 and 2 dollar bills from an old birthday gift..

she has 49 - $1's all sequential with serial numbers starting with ECU (1973??)

and 24 - $2's, all sequential and serial numbers starting with BRY  (1986??)

Both stacks had the paper wrapper on them until recently and some (over and above what's listed above) have been given to a brother in law. (there were originally more than what is listed here.)

Just kind of curious what kind of value they would possibly have. Any opinions appreciated.

thanks, Mike.

Hello
You notes are very common and not worth much over face.  You may be lucky though and find a radar note with a number reading the same from both ends like, 1234321.  Hope this helps, Murray

Unless there are any interesting serial numbers on these notes, they need to be taken to the bank.  They are extremely common and of little interest to collectors.  You will have a hard time making a profit from them.

put the face amount in your rrsp. at least that way you will realize more than face value.
