Greetings,

For the last several years, I've possessed a misprinted Canadian $5 (Journeys Series) bank note. I've attached 3 photos below. Can anyone give me a general idea of the value of this note? I pulled it out of circulation, so there is visible wear on the note (see photo). The misprint occurs on the 'front' of the note: the text "BANK OF CANADA | BANQUE DU CANADA," the face of Wilfrid Laurier and finally the large number '5' are all shifted to the left. You can clearly see where the face of the prime minister is supposed to be (and the '5' as well). The back side of the note does not have any visible misprints.

The serial number of the note is HNP8510790. Printed in 2004.

I can confirm that this is not a counterfeit note: the holographic leafs change when tilted and a Bank of Canada emblem can be seen under black (UV) light.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide!

Cheers!
