Does anyone know when Charlton Standard Catalogue - Canadian Coins Vol 2 is to be released?  I thought it was to be released in January 2012.

At this point it does not look like Charlton Press will be publishing a third edition yet. Was the last two edition popular in terms of sales/profit for them?

Good question...I don't know.

The 2010 Charlton Catalogue was one book covering all of the coins (both circulation and collector).

The 2011 Charlton Catalogue had a Volume 1 - which was the numismatic coins (circulation) and then a Volume 2 - which covered the collectors coins and silver maple leafs.  I believe Volume 1 was released in the summer of 2010 with Volume 2 being released in January 2011.

I assumed that they were doing this again.  The 2012 Volume 1 was released in the fall of 2011 and actually thought I read that Volume 2 was to be released in January 2012.

I have checked the Charlton Website as well as Chapters but I haven't been able to find anything on the Catalogue.

The 2009 catalogue (63rd edition) was the last to have everything in one book. They made the change to issue two catalogues (one for circulation and one for collector) only starting in 2010 (64th edition).
They issued the 1st edition in January 2010 and the 2nd edition in January 2011. If i recall they had originally had plans to release the 3rd edition this january as you mentioned in your first post but yes, i have noticed too that there is no mention on their site about that book. Its very strange. Perhaps the book was not very popular, especially with the fact that you are now forced to buy two books at $24.95 compared to only two years ago when everything was covered in one book at a price of $19.95.

According to the Charlton Press website, the catalogue you are looking for won't be out until September.
