Found this is circulation today. The Bank of Canada embossing is there, but there's absolutely no ink!

From afar it looks like there is ink around the edges of the lettering but if you look at the picture below (taken through a 8x Loupe) you will see that there is absolutely no ink and instead its just an effect of the embossing!

I found a $20 note with the same error not that long ago.
