1809 Bank of Brantford 4 dollar

I can't find the attached banknote on any sites I have checked.  Can anyone tell me the value?  The corners are not missing, they are folded under.

Any advise would be appreciated.

When you upload an image with ImageShack, you have to copy the code generated by it into the field of your post or your image will not be seen.

Is this in the instructions for loading images?  Everybody struggles every time with loading images, even after reading the instructions...

Using a magnifying glass it looks like 1809 but if that doesn't exist maybe it is 1859 or 1869.

Apparently it is from 1859.  I found others with the date printed.  I guess mine was an early printing as the date was hand written.

They do contain a reference for copying the code into the message, but the images shown in the tutorial do not visually demonstrate this.  I would recommend making changes to the tutorial, but my gut feeling is that 99% of people using the ImageShack tool on this site don't read the tutorial.  They simply upload the picture and then assume the forum software is going to automatically integrate it into the message, which the software does NOT do.  Hence it would be a waste of BWJM's time to fix the tutorial.

Fifty dollars is kind of low.  Closer to $100 is more realistic.  Your note is in well circulated condition, so don't get your hopes too high.

Just a suggestion on the tutorial: I think it should read something like "Once your image is uploaded you MUST copy the img code from one of the two fields and paste it into the body of your message"

It's also VERY helpful to see how the posting will look by clicking the Preview button. If the image is missing in the preview, the link has not been copied or copied incorrectly.

Thanks for your help.  My problem with uploading a file was the term "host it"  I didn't click that box because I thought it meant I would be hosting my posting.  Is that box read "download file"  I would have had no problem.
