looking for more info on specimen notes from the multi colour series. How did they come to be? Also why arent they worth more since (i think) there was not many issued.

These notes were never issued for circulation and where not destroyed. They became available for purchase by the bank of canada only as of 1999. The fact that these notes are all in AU and were availablei believe made these notes not worth all that much. There is not a great demand for such notes.
