I have this note that has what look like a perforation but with the piece still attached by fine parts. The note is Gem UNC so if someone used a punch on it he did a good job. I want to know if anyone ever encounter this before? It is on an insert note AHY 5491. Awaiting your answers.

I never saw that type of mark, do you have only one mark or two.

Same, it look like it could be a printer punch to pre-cut the hole without taking the paper out, but a light pressure could remove it.

Are you referring to the line at the bottom edge of the note or are you referring to the indents that appear to form a circle that is above the edge?

If it is former I have seen it in many notes.

I have included a picture of one from my database

Wonder what paper money would say if it could talk?
