Dropping nines on $20

I have these two notes that i found recently.  I notice that both of them are in the "B" series and the last 9 of the second serial number is dropped quite a bit.  I just wonder does anybody collect these?  I wanted to check on here before sending them back out into circulation.

This is not a major error as the nine would have to be a little lower. This one would not get much premium in my opinion and would spend it. Perhaps others might see it differently.

I have been keeping a track of these misaligned numbered notes.

BSH 1257349 - 78/78 in my database has a reported dropped 9.

Your note with a dropped 9 is

BSH 3515699 78/78

Is this just a co-incidence that notes more than 2.3 million apart with same plate numbers have a dropped 9 in exactly the same manner?

Your second note

BSM 8172099 62/62 with a dropped 9 corresponds to the following note in my database:

BSM 3695399 62/62

Again is this just a co-incidence that the notes are more than 4 million apart with same plate numbers and have dropped 9 in exactly the same manner?

If anyone is interested in comparing I may be able to dig out the images of these notes from my database.

Although some people think this stuff is insignificant minutia ... I think it is fascinating!!!

I have one $20 bill with the dropped "9"  - the prefix is BSP4734149.

I got one of these $20s today. BSH7036299. Both sides the last 9 is slightly lower than the rest of the serial number but particularly on the left serial number the last 9 has a bigger drop than on the right side. It is quite noticeable.  BSH7036299 96/96
