2 digit Binary Notes

Not much information on this combination. Not even sure if it is a true binary note. Yes it has 0's-1 but in my opinion a binary not should read 010101010.

Although on the Canadian coin value site it states that binaries are low in value and the current value of 2 digit radar book value is at $15 in G condition per note. I was wonder what the general opinion of this notes is?

These are nice notes! 1000 serials are hard to find.  Depending on condition, if they are actually UNC (might be AU with bundle strap location), I would estimate 100 to 200 each.

Wow you have the FIRST possible $1 and $2 radars of the entire multicolored issue.  $100 to $200 would be a steal.  Just a wild guess but I would estimate $1000-$2000 for each of these notes.  Forget what any book says.

0101010 would be a binary note AND a cycle-2 repeater which would also be a great note but the "0001000" serial number is highly sought after and not to be underestimated.  The fact that these are prefix "AA" and "BA" adds tremendous appeal to these notes.

good point, I really did not catch the first prefix part ( had just woke up : ) ).  This does add some potential value (depending on condition).  The book price may say one thing, I think they could sell for more (as does really low serial numbers typically do compared to book prices).

These are considered binary according to the GPMC. Also in the computer terminology this would be considered binary number

 you could consider them 2 digits radars also

Update on these items, I was able to get both notes for $950. With taxes, shipping and premium. It will end up costing me around $1150.

********UPDATE*****So the notes just came back from BCS grading and I am a little disappointed. The $1 came back 60 original and the $2 came back 55 AU original. I know that BSC is one, if note they tuffet graders but wow wasn't expecting AU.

Oh well, still happy to have them in my collection.

Still nice notes! BCS is the strictest in most people's opinion.  I am glad you choose a Canadian company and did not sent it to a place where the grade may get inflated

So the notes just came back from BCS grading and I am a little disappointed.

- believe me, I share your "pain."  I won't get into specifics but I have always felt that BCS is overzealous when it comes to erring on the side of strictness. And grading- that's another thread/another topic & I feel those 2 notes are fantastic 2 digit radars (+ thousand numbered notes) that any serious collector would be very proud/happy to own ("Original" UNC 60 & AU55 which are very respectable grades).

-It is a 2 digit radar (& yes "Binary") $1 from the 1937 series.  That's quite a rare note (few radars were collected back then) that would be highly sought after by many collectors (the "Binary aspect is eclipsed by the fact that it's a 2 digit radar & so close to a Million # note).
